Statistics for UAS operations within the Open Category or the Specific Category
The AIB introduced a new reporting system (ECCAIRS 2) for reporting of accidents or serious incidents, including mandatory reporting of accidents or serious incidents involving drones, on January 1, 2025.

For accidents or serious incidents involving drones in the open or specific category (SAIL I - IV), a continuous monthly statistic is presented for each drone category.
